What do you think about Shay's description of a model? Shay and Tally hav a skewed view of our time, but what have they got right? (1 paragraph)
Basicaly Shay's right about trying to be a perfesional pretty. The dieses they were talking about was the girls haveing a mental problem so they feel they have to look skiny to look beutiful. In are time people starve to look good and people to like them and Shay and Tally were right about that. Well they have some sterotiping mixted in with it like the fat commedens not all of them are fat and the rockstars having stringy hair is kinda right. The last thing they had right is the fact that there was no pretty programa because they would all look the same if they were pretty but they didn't.

"Lies" Blog Post #25
Characterization:...David
David is a boy that is a little older than Tally and is an ugly. He basicaly put everything together and makes everything at the smoke run soothly, also is very confident looking and likes Shay.
Find a picture to represent what YOU think the smoke looks like and post it on your blog with an explanation of why you chose it. I chose this because it looks like the description of the houses and is by the mountains. Also in the back of the picture you see a house bigger than the rest which is the library.

Invent a dried food you would take with you on your journey if you were Tally. What would it be? How would you make it? I would make beef stroganof and you just boil the water untill its boiling and pour the boiling water into the package and for 1 minute shake it and let it cool for 2 minutes
Make a list of things you would miss about your home if you were forced to leave it as Tally was.
1.T.V. 8.My dogs
2. X-box 9. Air conditioning
3.Shower 10.Other cloths
4.Sonic
5.Freinds/Family
6. Good food
7. my House

Respond to the following quote:"Everywhere she went, eyes looked away. But it was the most visible she'd ever felt."
It means that she felt embarresed, and doesn't fit in so it was like she stuck out and that was why everyone was looking away because she looked like a freak, a weirdo, and not like them.

Two fights were presented in this chapter. Compare and contrast both of them. List their similarities and differences. Why did each fight take place? What was the outcome of each one? (no less than one paragraph)
The fake fight and the realy Shay and Tally fight were the two fights. They both had yelling and arueing but the fake fight had contact like had to hand. They both took place because of arguing and different thoughts kinda like the civil war. The outcome of the fake fight would be in real life just scared some 12 year olds but if it was real it would be they fought and now there mad at each other. The real fight the outcome was that they are mad at each other and don't want to see each other.

In this chapter Tally says, " I kind of like being fooled about some things." Do you agree with Tally, or would you rathr know the reality behind everything? Why?
I agree with Tally because of the best prize is a suprise.
It is interesting to note that whitewater rafting was one of the earliest forms of transportation. It was not only used for carrying people but also for transferring goods from one place to another. However, it became quite popular as a form of leisure activity in the 1980s.
In 1811, the first recorded attempt to navigate the Snake River in Wyoming was planned by the Overland Astorians. While attempting to boat the stretch below Jackson Hole, the river was found to be too treacherous and it came to be called ?Mad River.?
The rubber river raft is believed to have been invented in the early 1840s. It was first made by Lt. John Fremont, who was then serving in the U.S army and Horace H. Day. They invented the rubber raft with the intention of surveying the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains. Although the raft was invented in the mid-nineteenth century, it was not until the turn of the century that the first ever commercial whitewater trip was undertaken. At first, surplus military rafts were used as boats and it was only much later that inflatable rafts were used.
Private companies played a major role in augmenting the rafting business. In 1956, one of the members of the most affluent business families of America, John D. Rockefeller built a resort that introduced one of the first floating trips in the country. However, it only evoked a lukewarm response. Later, in the 1960s and 1970s, exclusive whitewater rafting companies were formed. These include the Becker-Cooke Expeditions, Hatch River Expeditions and Slickrock Adventures.
Rafting was first included in the Munich Olympic Games, 1972. Subsequently, it was included in the 1992 Barcelona Games and the 1996 Atlanta Games. In 1996, the Ocoee River in Tennessee Valley played host to the whitewater events of the Summer Olympic Games.

"Pretty Boring" blogpost #9
Describe the Rusty Ruins. What are they? What happened during this time period?
The Rusty Ruins are basically the houses and buildings of our time period. Now they are destroided because of fighting caused by the pretty program. The Rusty Ruins are all rusty and forgotten now.
Define peer pressure. Think of a time when it happened to you or someone you know and explain the situation in a paragraph.
Peer pressure is when your freinds are doing something, own something, or even think something is cool and you feel pressured to think the same or do the same wanting to fit into the crowd. I have expereinced this and it realy bit me in the butt we it happened.
I was in second grade, and it was after school. I was still at school because my mom is a teacher. My freinds were throwing rocks outside, my mom said not to go and play so I just watched. When I say how much fun they were having I started to get bord and left out. Then forgetting what my mom sayed I went outside and started playing, and who would of guessed it a kid threw a rock strate for my head and my head was a founten of red blood in two seconds.

Reflect on the following qoutes from the chapter, what does each mean to you?
"making ourselves fell ugly is not fun."...This whole game is just designed to make us hate ouselves." I think what Shay is trying to say is that, insulting yourself is never good you should be happy with yourself no matter what. Also that the software was made to want to desier to be a pretty and thats how the corpuration was so big and how it got started.
"Everyone judged everone else based on their appearance. People who were taller got better jobs...people killed one another over stuff like having different skin color." (Referring to when everyone was ugly)
Everyone judges people on there looks and everyone wanted that unfair advantage. So they were fighting for this advantage and people got hurt.
"It's the only way to make people equal." (becoming pretty)
Because of all the fighting they made the pretty program to end the fighting to make everyone equal. But I think they should make it illegal and distroied it.

Think of another, book, movie or comic (exc) in which people use hover baords. How are they used? If possible, post a video of this.
Treasure Island had huver boards. They used the hover baords like a parasalle, moving the jire to move the sails for the wind curent to take it left and right.
why do you think the new pretties don't come back to uglyville to visit? Describe their physicall and mental trasformationd into new pretties.
I think they don't want to come back to uglyville because they don't want to be around ugly people like there going to catch a deisesse, the ugly. The proceeder for being turned into an pretty. They grind your bones, peel and rub down you skin and face, and add plastic cheeckbones. Also they take away all your bad habits and mistervious ideas or habits.
