"Two jet airliners were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001. The first jet crashed into the North side of the tower and the second jet crashed into the south tower. Both buildings collapsed within two hours of being hit. It killed everyone onboard and many others working the buildings. Buildings around the tower also had damage to them. Two thousand six hundred and three people died at the World Trade Center.
